Stratford offers a pretty cool
cultural scene all year round – from our symphony season, a vibrant
club scene with up and coming folk, pop and rock performers, many who end
up shortlisted for the Junos, as well as lots of festivals and events. Spring
is no exception as people shake off the winter chill and get a move on.
From April to June, we are all about and enjoying the season. What’s
your style? Choose from bars and restaurants on the weekends packed with
up and coming musical acts or expand your theatre experience with plays
taking place in cool warehouse spaces. There are symphonic, chamber and
choral concerts
of a classical bent or come to enjoy the subtlety of spoken-word performances.

are some of the highlights of our spring season:
- An Evening with
Judy Collins - See the incomparable song stylist
in concert on April 17
- Celebrate Shakespeare’s Birthday on April 30 with
an informed lecture on the portraits of The Bard and a gala Fool’s
Dinner, at The Church Restaurant.
- SpringWorks, an invigorating festival
of indie theatre and arts performances May 10 -15 presents exciting
and through-provoking artistic characters.
- New Hamburg Mennonite Relief
Sales and Quilt Auction, one of Ontario’s
major quilt-themed events, is held the weekend of May 27th
- St. Marys Storytelling Festival, is a unique and innovative celebration
of the spoken word with their spring festival taking
place June
4 and 5
- Huron Perth
Forbidden Ride on May 27 and 28, takes
into the heart of the two counties with all shapes and sizes of motorcyclists
- Stratford
Spring Heritage Festival from June 3 to 5 is a celebration of the
history of the towns of Shakespeare,
Stratford and St.
Marys with antiques,
walking tours, exhibitions and great food
- Stratford Blues &
Ribfest from June 24- 26 - 3 days of BBQ, Blues
& brews at the William Allman Arena.
