How do I get around in Stratford?
Taxi service is available for a flat fee.
Stratford Transit operates on a 30 minute schedule that meets at City Hall for transfers. Service runs Monday to Friday form 6:00 am - 9:30 pm Monday to Friday and 6:00 am - 7:30 pm on Saturday. www.city.stratford.on.ca/transit/transit.asp

Where can I purchase theatre tickets?
Tickets can be purchased on line by visiting the Stratford Festival website www.stratfordfestival.ca. Order by phone 1-800-567-1600 or 519-273-1600. Order in person at the Festival Theatre Ticket Office. [TOP]

Where are the theatres located?
There are four theatres that make up the Stratford Festival of Canada. The Festival Theatre is located at 55 Queen Street in Upper Queen's Park. The Avon Theatre and the Studio Theatre are located in the city centre along St. Patrick Street between Downie and Waterloo Streets. The Tom Patterson Theatre is located next to the Kiwanis Community Centre on Lakeside Drive. [TOP]

Where do I park in Stratford?
There are nearly 800-metered spaces in the city centre; all meters are for two hours or more. There is a large lot on Erie Street between Ontario and St. Patrick Streets with a walkway to Wellington Street. A two-hour parking limit is enforced.
All day free parking is available at the Cooper lot on St. Patrick Street with an extension south of the YMCA exiting on Downie Street.
One all-day free parking pass is available to visitors at Stratford Tourism Office at 47 Downie Street, across from City Hall. These are good for one day only, at meters in designated municipal parking lots only.
If you are attending a performance at the Festival Theatre, there is a large parking lot on Queen Street at the Avon River. Parking is available for cars during performances only for $8.00. There is free parking along Lakeside Drive and along the circular drive in Upper Queen's Park.
Please note that overnight parking on all city streets is prohibited. At the Avon Theatre refer to city centre parking information. At the Tom Patterson Theatre parking is available in the adjacent lot. [TOP]

Where is the handicap parking?
There are several handicap parking spaces throughout the city centre marked with blue parking meters. A vehicle displaying a handicapped permit (clearly visible) can park at any meter throughout the city without depositing coins. The two-hour parking limit still applies. [TOP]

Where are the public restroom facilities located?
Public restrooms are available at City Hall weekdays between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm; Wm Allman Arena on Lakeside Drive next to Kiwanis Community Centre from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm daily; in Upper Queen's Park next to the Pavilion from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm daily. Hours are decreased during the winter months at the Arena and Upper Queen's Park. [TOP]

What are the retail store hours?
The stores in city centre are generally open 7 days a week during the theatre season. Most stores open at 9:30 am and close at 5:30 pm, and remain open until 8:00 pm on Friday evenings. Some smaller stores close on Monday or Sunday. Do check with the store you wish to visit to confirm the hours. Stratford shopping malls are open daily with extended evening hours throughout the entire year. [TOP]
