Stratford is a culinary hotbed of gastronomic superstars, including food producers, culinary institutions, chefs and restaurants. Of course, the food itself - a product of some of the richest food-growing soils in the world - shines the brightest of all of these stars. Savour Stratford Perth County is an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the ripe fruits of our burgeoning food culture at the peak of harvest season.
Last year, in an idyllic setting, along the Avon River, with heavenly aromas of fresh and prepared local foods permeating the air, we experienced attendance of close to 8,000 each day.
With significantly enhanced programming including the new culinary week, the festival offers all-day live concerts, demos presented by high-profile chefs and culinary authors, kids diversions, a farmers’ and artisans’ market, a silent auction, sidewalk sales and cafes and the pinnacle event - the Savour Stratford Tasting. We anticipate as many as 10,000 visitors per day for this year’s event.
