Our prize winning gardens

Green grassy carpets and golden trees in full fall glory frame the Avon River in September and October. The area is only one section of over a thousand acres of parkland planted with over 80,000 annuals to complement the perennial gardens located throughout the city. You’ll discover the heritage plantings of the Shakespearean Garden, the Festival Theatre’s formal ornamental Arthur Meighen Gardens and beds of hundreds of irises – Stratford’s floral emblem. Even a unique Japanese garden and waterfall among pines. Not to mention festooned hanging baskets and bouquets dotting patios in the heritage district.
